I came across this and though I would share it. It is a story of a person giving tips on how to sell online. It is great for our wholesale customers who would like to increase sales. Have You Tried To Sell Soap Online?Homemade soap melt and pour - how much fluid per pound of soap base
We have received some questions from people who are making melt and pour soaps and have concerns of how much liquid to add per pound of soap base. Liquid addictive should not exceed 6% of the soap base. So with 1 pound it is approximately 1oz (29 ml) of fluids all together. Please keep in mind that all the fluids should not exceed 6% - so if you are combining FO, EO, and other liquid ingredients - the total should not exceed 6%. It all depends of course of the soap base and destination of the soap. If you are making this for yourself only and want to make it more "jelly" and you will use it soon (no worries for any potential bacteria growth, as this soap would be used soon and won't be re-sold), then you can add more - but not too much more. If you use too much the soap may become too liquid.follow up on tweeter
